Which laptop would you recommend, Macbook or Dell XPS m1330?
I will be going to college in the fall as a biology major and my university is offering these two laptops for roughly the same price (macbook includes free ipod touch and HP printer). I will be using my laptop for basic tasks and I will not be doing any gaming. Which one would you recommend and why?

The Mac, by a mile. Virus safe, loaded with software you can use for school and fun (iLife), and besides you can run PC programs on it using Boot Camp.
Invest in "One to One" for $99 and you can have a one-hour personal scheduled tutorial on any aspect of your Mac you care to learn with a "Genius" at any Apple Store -- once a week for an entire year. 2 Bucks per lesson if you maximize. Believe me, even if you DID do 50 lessons, there would still be plenty of undiscovered tools built into your Mac.
There really is no comparison -- the war is over except counting the bodies. Palm Pilot anyone? No?
